The motorized avalanche awareness and companion rescue clinic was on Saturday, at Deer Mountain Snow Park. The road in is mostly snow free but there is still snow in the parking lot. The road above the parking lot is still snow covered. The snowpack is pretty thin out there and in the trees with many obstacles lurking just under the snow. Great views of the north side of Mt. Shasta and Ash Creek Butte.
