General Conditions

Snow coverage and overall conditions on the Avalanche Gulch route are very good right now. Continuous snow exists ¼ mile above the bunny flat parking lot. Snow surfaces are smooth and good corn skiing has been found recently up to 12,000 ft. Rockfall and icefall off of Redbanks and the Trinity Chutes has been observed recently. Snow surfaces above Helen Lake have been very smooth and icy in the early morning hours and during periods of high winds and cooler temperatures. All camping at Helen Lake is on snow. Make sure to bring extra fuel to melt snow for water. Please walk to the climbers right (eastern edge) of camp to use your packout bags and for all other bathroom activities.
