The Mount Shasta Avalanche Center is pleased to welcome you to our first Community Movie Night of the 2022/23 season! We will be showing Buried: the 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche, from Greenwich media.

In 1982, a massive avalanche descended on Alpine Meadows Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe, California, triggering a desperate five day search for eight missing people. BURIED chronicles the third deadliest avalanche in US history, the miraculous rescue efforts and the traumas that still haunt the survivors today.

As always, we will have snacks and drinks for purchase, so feel free to let the kids skip dinner today! (the Mount Shasta Avalanche Center supports a balanced diet, and in no way supports the substitution of gummy worms for dinner...but boy are they delicious!)

We'll also have plenty of great new Avalanche Center merchandise, so you can knock out all your holiday shopping while you're at it. It's almost too convenient.

Wait, there's more? There sure is! We'll have a great raffle with prizes from ski companies, local shops, and more.

Doors open at 5:30, movie starts about 7 pm.
