The Mt Shasta Avalanche Center is proud to announce an avalanche awareness and companion rescue class specifically for SNOWMOBILERS!

Spend the day with MSAC professionals as we provide you with avalanche and rescue information specifically catered toward the snowmobiler’s mind. The day will start at 9 am at the US Forest Service conference room (204 West Alma, Mount Shasta, CA 96067). We'll provide a multimedia presentation with industry leading information that will get your juices flowing.

Following, all riders will meet up in the Old Ski Bowl on the south side of Mt Shasta and spend the rest of the day practicing beacon, shovel and probe skills, terrain identification and management, and scenarios. If you don't have a beacon, shovel and probe, no problem! We will have some for you to use. Demos of several different types of beacons (BCA, Ortovox, Pieps, Mammut/Barryvox) will be available. This course is not to be missed!
