Recent Observations:
There is still a useful snowpack above treeline on Mount Shasta. Melt-freeze cycles have produced spring-like corn conditions high on the mountain. You'll need to walk your skis in a little ways before you'll find a continuous skin track. There is 22 inches of snow at the Old Ski Bowl weather station.
The observations below are recent relative to the publication of this forecast, November 29, 2021. Check out our observations page for the most recent information.
Mountain Weather:
A high pressure ridge sits firmly off the coast of California which will keep us dry into the weekend. Expect seasonably cold nights, and above average daytime temperatures. This ridge may begin to break down over the weekend allowing more wintry weather in, but it is too early to tell for sure.
