Recent Observations:
Over the past 24 hours, temperatures have ranged from 16° at 5am to 32° at 5pm. Wind has blow predominantly out of the southeast, averaging 5 mi/hr with gusts to 30 mi/hr. No recent avalanche activity has been observed or reported. Yesterday, on the west side of the interstate, snow surfaces remained mostly frozen until about noon. The snowpack is still in a transitional phase and not fully melt-freeze.

Mountain Weather:
High pressure will remain in control through Saturday. Dry weather and mostly clear skies will command influence until the next system arrives Sunday. With clear skies, overnight and morning temps will be chilly. Daytime highs will be seasonable and slightly above normal. A return to cool, and wetter weather is expected Sunday as an upper level trough digs down toward the PacNW from the Gulf of Alaska. Onshore flow and continued troughing will keep showers and below normal temps in the area through the end of the week.
