On a tour up onto Broadway ridge from 0730 to 1530:

Morning:

  • Partly cloudy
  • HN24: 1-2"
  • Temperature: 10-20 ºF
  • Ski Penetration: 4-6", Boot to Hip
  • Wind: Light, SW

Afternoon:

  • Freezing mist. Rim crust began forming near noon and persisted and worsened (0.5-1" thick) until 1530.
  • Temperature: 20 F
  • No signs of instability near and below treeline. Above appears scoured/loaded.
