Snowpack Observations

Details

Some photos from local shredders who ventured up into Avalanche Gulch today for some blue bird powder turns this morning. A gorgeous morning gave way to increasing clouds and white-out (clouds/fog) conditions at times. A truley spastic weather cycle of sun, clouds and snow.

Skiing conditions are good, but as we've been saying, the mountain was melted out below 9k ft before all this, so it's like winter all over again. Most had written it off, but we are back in it. Continue to watch out for rocks near and below treeline, but overall, coverage is pretty good! The April storms will most definitely prolong the climbing season and provide extended skiing opportunities.

Check the current climbing advisory for more details and common questions asked. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions.
