Snowpack Observations

Details

  • Castle Lake if frozen and supportable. A few weak spots exist along the edges.
  • Snowpack is a mixture of crusts and 1F density snow layers down to an impenetrable ice layer. Height of snow is 25 in (65 cm).
  • A widespread crust dominates the snow surface on all peaks.
  • South Fork Road is drivable to the Gray Rock Lakes bridge turnoff.
