SKY CONDITION: Overcast 
PRECIPITATION TYPE/RATE: Sporadic light snowfall, S-1 with periods of S1. Small perfect stellars at times
BLOWING SNOW: Yes, very light
SURFACE PENETRABILITY: Ski 6-8 inch, Boot 8-12 inches 
HEIGHT OF SNOWPACK (HS): Below treeline (5,800 feet): 41 inches (105 cm), Near treeline (6,500 feet): 55 inches (140 cm) 
DEPTH OF NEW WIND LOADED SNOW:  21 inches (55 cm) 
WIND: Light South
NOTES:
 
  • South-facing slopes have a shallow snowpack
  • Drifts up to three feet deep on NW aspect
  • Melt-freeze crust formed on low elevation snow (below 5,500 feet)

  • An average of 8 to 13 inches of snow was measured on top of firm, supportable old snowpack.
  • Cedar Lake the ice is not supportable
