A Christmas Day check of the new snow observed productive easterly winds on Green Butte. One to three inches of fresh snow covers a  shallow snowpack. A peek at the above treeline terrain discovered large rocky patches with little to no snow.  Here's to hoping that this will fill in quickly as more storms line up in the Pacific.
