Details

20200410 - 1300 hrs - Meyers - Gray Butte

Several decent sized loose wet avalanches were observed on a westerly facing aspect, near treeline on Gray Butte. These slides likely occurred late on the 9th. Thursday was the warmest day of the week. Overnight lows have been well above freezing for several days in a row. Winds have been light. Storm snow from last weekend continues to settle, but not really setting up well at night. Heavy, sticky, mushy snow surfaces with widespread melt runnels dominate.
