Recent Observations:
Over the past 24 hours, heavy clouds slowly parted to mostly clear skies. Temperatures have ranged from 21° to 39° near treeline. Wind has remained light out of the west.
Yesterday's observations come from Cliff Lake, where we found numerous signs of wet instability. A wide variety of natural wet avalanches have occurred above the lake. From the lake we could see roller balls, point-release wet loose, and wet slab avalanches that had happened in the last 24 hours. We even saw a few naturals happen in the period we were observing. Crowns ranged from a few inches to a foot deep, spanning a few hundred feet wide. Cornices on north facing terrain have grown to be impressively large in this area.

Mountain Weather:
Spring weather is upon us! Today will be very warm across the forecast area. This morning will start out partly cloudy, becoming mostly clear by the afternoon. Freezing levels will be around 9,500 feet, rising to 10,100 feet this evening. Southerly winds will remain light below and near treeline, and moderate to strong above treeline. Today's warm temperatures are part of a warm front due to a low pressure system currently positioned offshore of Oregon. This low will begin to shift inland today and tonight, bringing increased winds, cloud cover, and chance of precipitation starting tomorrow morning. At the moment, it looks like we won't see much of the precipitation from this system, mostly upper level wind. Light snow/rain is possible Monday. Colder temperatures are expected on Tuesday.
